Food and Drink Jobs
Description
We are adding a member to our Dietary Therapies team. This will start as an internship (unpaid) requiring an 8-10 hr/wk commitment for a 3-month training period building up to a paid position with more hours and expanded responsibilities for client care. To start, the intern will work alongside our team while learning how to provide online feedback and support to clients with cancer who are following low carb diets and recording their intake in the Cronometer app.
For students who intend to work with clients with cancer, passion is not enough. They need real-world experience in implementing well-formulated low-carb or ketogenic diets as adjuncts to conventional medical and nutritional care. I have worked with well over a thousand clients with cancer over the past 13 years, longer than anyone else in this space. Students would benefit from the support of our team of highly-skilled professionals whose values are aligned with those of the MUIH. During that 3 month period, students would be building skills, knowledge and competency. And they can add it to their resume.
Applicants must have a passion for improving the lives of people with cancer. Preference will be given to those who are (1) enrolled in or have completed the ANA Ketogenic Certification course, (2) have credentials and experience in nutrition or lifestyle coaching, and (3) will thrive as a member of a dedicated team of professionals. Submit your resume and a short summary letter to Miriam Kalamian at keto4cancer101@gmail.com.
The opportunity will not be eligible for MUIH course credit but it may be eligible for Supervised Practice Experience hours toward CNS certification with an external CNS-Approved Supervisor.
